Dancing in the Rain
I was walking down the street
On a cold day in June
But it didn’t feel right
The sky wasn’t even blue
And then the rain
Started pourin’ down
But when I looked up
There wasn’t a single cloud
Whatever happened to dancing in the rain
Without you it’s not the same
Pourin’ down is more than rain
I try to tango on my own
But it takes two and I’m alone
Pourin’ down, tears and rain
I can hear the song
But I can’t feel the beat
I listen for the melody
In the puddles at my feet
Oh the rain
Keeps pourin’ down
And with each drop
I hear the music drown
Whatever happened to dancing in the rain
Without you there’s only pain
But I twirl along the best I can
I try to tango but I don’t know how
‘Cause I’m dancing by myself now
And what’s pourin’ down, is more than rain
I walk down the street
With no one else around
And I tap my toes
As the drops start falling down
I know what happened to dancing in the rain
And I’m glad it’s not the same
Because the sun shines now
and there’s a rainbow in the clouds
I know what happened to dancing in the rain
It took my tears away
And what’s pourin’ down, is only rain
What’s pourin’ down is only rain now
