Eleven Eighteen
Hey,
Do you remember me?
From all those years ago,
Melted from your memory
Like the sun on the snow.
Do you remember talking to me?
Was I even there?
And now,
Is it hard for you to breathe
when I come near?
Hello,
Well I remember you!
Every time I see you
I just don't know what to do.
Today,
Did I imagine it,
Or did you really look my way?
I could have sworn
You actually saw me this time,
but it will probably be the last time.
Oh, are your eyes
really flicking to me
in the halls?
Oh, not at all.
My friends all say,
"It's your loss."
But I wanna be your gain.
Because,
For me it's hard to breathe
When I look your way
in the halls.
My eyes linger
for a while
on the boy who
for a year made me smile.
I start to feel so small
and I lose it all
oh I lose it all.
Who am I trying to kid,
You, never look my way
in the halls.
Oh not at all.
When your eyes
meet my face
I don't exist at all.
And You wouldn't even
remember my name,
Unless she had said it first.
Oh it feels the worst.
Hey,
Do you remember me?
From all those years ago.
