Dead Red Rum
I have a little story
It’s not about how I made it to the fame or glory
This is how it goes
I was nine years old
and some of my life was kinda cold
Walking around with one life
I don’t know if it’s going to end with a knife
I lived in parkland
That’s where my life start and
Meeting my first true homie Nate Dogg
I’m not talking about the one that died
but I wish I could see him with my own eye
Rest in Peace
One day we will throw a feast
but now back to my hood
At first everything was good
until I met some older fools I’ll always be paranoid
but that one of the things I couldn’t avoid
Always get beat
but I still stay on my feet
Doesn’t mean I’m brave
I just don’t want to end up in a grave
I believe my life was curse
I wish it was a act so I could rehearse
but I’m just glad I never saw death around the corner
and the homes I kick it with turn me into a solider
Because they taught me the most important rule of them all
to always to get back up no matter how many times you fall
