THE WINTER FALLING
So what happens next?
Is that an open ended question?
Blending in the middle of this old town,
Watch the world until it all goes down.
Let us stay up late next time,
And watch the stars and the sky shine;
Most of what I thought and said,
Existed solely in my head.
It's the winter time,
And we're living side by side.
But I'm going to change,
Because this world is just the fast lane.
One of these nights,
When the snow flakes cover our eyes,
The light in our own hearts,
Will remain there for you and me..
Young and old to see,
Shining over all the cities.
Much of the never ever we have become,
Put your hand by your heart,
And you'll find it's no longer numb.
I found warmth in your presence,
As the winter breeze blew.
Was it the new found love?
Or contrast from the cold,
That flew this sweet dove?
Give up the pretending,
Everyone can see that you're bluffing,
And wasting precious time,
This love will shine.
