When The World Is Ready
I cannot claim thee, oh Earth
I can only watch you rot
The plague of man corrupts your girth
Am I, too, of this lot?
When the world is ready and I emerge from this shell,
I pray the realm I enter is grander than this hell
Oh, when the world is ready and judgement has been passed
I pray the realm I enter I can call my home at last
Sporaaadic temperament
Spawn of malevolence
Though melodic as the winter's been,
We've fallen prey to negligence
And sublimity seems irrelevant
Morality is decadent
Our actions prove our detriment
Our blindness is our deterrence
Survival is indefinite
Should we rely on the "heaven-sent"
Ignorance, the only testament
When only arrogance is prevalent...
I cannot claim thee, oh Earth
I can only watch you rot
The plague of man corrupts your girth
Am I, too, of this lot?
When the world is ready and I emerge from this shell,
I pray the realm I enter is grander than this hell
Oh, when the world is ready and judgement has been passed
I pray the realm I enter I can call my home at last
As I watch this travesty unfold
I cringe as this tragedy goes untold..
More chilling than the winter's cold
Is our darkness as our souls are sold
We forrrrrfeit all control
Rectitude, no longer ours to hold
The pure must now pay the toll
To an evil that persists since old
Taken from the pits of woe
We carve ourselves from a forsaken mould
Lest you seek this demonic gold,
I advise you traverse a different road
I cannot claim thee, oh Earth
I can only watch you rot
The plague of man corrupts your girth
Am I, too, of this lot?
When the world is ready and I emerge from this shell,
I pray the realm I enter is grander than this hell
Oh, when the world is ready and judgement has been passed
I pray the realm I enter I can call my home at last
