Such an Angel MAG
She's fighting in the hospital bed
Her hair's gone now, just a vacant head
“Don't cry for me” are her words
Her voice as gentle as a bird's
Never seen a girl so beautiful
Never seen such an angel
She belongs in heaven with the others
Tears slide down the face of her brothers
She's the only one that doesn't cry
How can she accept that she might die?
The color is gone from her pretty face,
But the fire lives in her
Eating away, eating away
Shining through her eyes.
Why does cancer choose the innocent?
Why her? Why not me?
She's gonna sprout wings, fly away
Back to heaven where she should be.
Never seen a girl so powerful
Never seen such an angel.
She held up her white flags, white flags
It's not surrender if the battle isn't fair.
She was fighting, but the fight wasn't enough.
God was calling and it must have been tough.
With the words,
I love you, Mom
I love you, Dad
I love you, everyone I ever had
In the grasp of my little hands, I made you whole
I made you whole
But now I'm going home
With the close of her eyes
She left her spirit, soul, and mind
Never knew a girl so wonderful
Never knew such an angel.
