Dear Darling
Dear darling,
The turquoise skies
Would soothe our eyes
With studded rainbow chains.
Rainclouds overflowed with rains.
I’m missing you.
The morning dew
Was soaking to our bones.
We sat between the thorns and stones,
Laughed at passing woe,
Watched the ember sunsets glow,
Talked until our words ran dry.
Of us why was it you to die?
I’m missing you.
The worlds we knew
Would never fall apart;
Would go deep into my heart.
Of us, we two
The one was you
I loved til parting death.
I watched as your last breath
Left me a kiss.
Your parting wish
Was for me to understand.
We touched a last time and
Laughed at passing woe,
Watched the ember sunsets glow,
Talked until our words ran dry.
Of us why was it you to die?
Dear darling…
I love you,
Goodbye.
