The Mainstream
I hear a knock on my door; it’s the mainstream. It’s crying out loud saying, “Please follow me!” But I refuse to, I’ll take a tributary. I don’t want any of the products you’re trying to sell me.
I’ll wear my own clothes, that don’t even match. I’ll frustrate all the girls in my class. I don’t see the need to wear a snapback. I have creativity, and you can’t take that.
So don’t try to make me swim, don’t try to catch me, like a fish swimming in the mainstream.
