In My Head
In my head,
I painted you as a knight,
shining armor in the sun,
and a horse of white.
In my head,
when you looked at me,
you could see,
what we could be.
In my head,
you told me everyday,
that I was beautiful,
in every single way.
In my head,
when you talked,
it was the prettiest sound,
aside from the footsteps when you walked.
In reality,
you hurt me,
worse then physical abuse,
you never wanted to be.
In reality,
you laughed behind my back,
let your friends call me names,
and pointed out everything I lack.
In reality,
you’re a horrible person.
