Forever Crush
I’ve known you since you were short and your hair was long
You liked waves and flip-flops
You were a California boy.
We met in my back yard.
Me and you swinging on the hammock
And our eyes mirroring the twinkling stars
It was right out of a movie.
You are my forever crush.
You give me goose bumps
And you drive me crazy
And although I try to find some one else…
I always come back to my forever crush.
Now you’re all grown up.
Big man on campus.
You love soccer and football.
Your hair is short and you are tall.
Applying for college,
Too cool for me
But baby you’ll always be….
My forever crush.
You are my forever crush.
You give me goose bumps
And you drive me crazy
And although I try to find some one else…
I always come back to my forever crush.
And although we live separate lives now
When our eyes meet they still mirror the twinkly stars
