The Fawn
I wait for life but I wait in vain.
I long for love, then see the rain.
I hope for rainbows, but none will come.
And we all pass, as life moves on.
For hope is lost,
and pain has won.
Blue skies are few, and far between.
Yet less still even, the broken hearts, seen
Most of the time, wishing for new.
While the sun sets, and flowers bloom.
For hope is lost,
and pain has won.
Time passes, and life goes on
All people see, there lies the fawn.
He is patient, he's far to kind.
But he sees not, the lies we find.
For hope is lost,
and pain has won.
And now I leave, for the times is up.
Life finds it's way, to fill our cup.
For pain is lost,
and hope is found.
For pain is lost,
and hope is found.
For pain is lost
and hope has won.
