Fireflies Remind Me
Fireflies remind me of,
summer camp 2008,
the first day I met you,
down beside the lake.
You were in your turtle green swimming trunks,
a blank stare on your face,
staring at the sunset,
probably thinking about this beautiful place.
Then you turned and seen me,
there was no going back,
that was when we fell in love,
that summer at Camp Kayak.
Summer seemed like it wouldn't ever last,
and it soon came to an end,
you lived six states away,
but you promised to still be my boyfriend.
Soon letters were never sent,
and I never seen you again,
but fireflies still remind me of,
my summer camp boyfriend.
