Mine.
Is this what it feels like, to be left behind?
Lost and broken in the dead of night
Sweet words gone ‘til the end of time
Was I wrong for believing that you were mine?
Long nights, never cease to depress me
No call like you told me I would hear
I wonder if you got caught up somehow
Or if my hope should just disappear
Caught you, on the late night bus
Trading lips with some pretty blonde thing
You don’t see but my heart is breaking
Wishing I wasn’t just some fling
And I cry at night, hoping it was just a dream
Telling myself things are not what they seem
Is this what it feels like, to be left behind?
Lost and broken in the dead of night
Sweet words gone ‘til the end of time
Was I wrong for believing that you were mine?
Wake up, with a new perspective
Saying this was a onetime deal
Keeping my thoughts to myself
Keeping in everything I feel
On the road, you two seem to show up
My best friend clinging to my side
Whispering that I shouldn’t even look at them
But my feelings are hard to hide
And I breathe, hoping to keep them at bay but,
If I could, this is what I would say
Is this what it feels like, to be left behind?
Lost and broken in the dead of night
Sweet words gone ‘til the end of time
Was I wrong for believing that you were mine?
Commitment, seems to mean nothing to you
And all the rumors I’ve heard are coming true
Don’t think for a second you can get me back
Because I’ve taken all that I can
You’re blonde friend seemed to get bored
How does it feel to finally get ignored?
Now you’re getting all that you deserve
Guess the road you took, threw in a curve
So how does it feel, to be left behind?
Are you lost and broken in the dead of night?
Sweet words gone, you were caught in crime
I was wrong for believing that you were mine
