Crown of Thorns
Dear God, I’ll take Your crown of thorns
When broken are my Devil’s horns.
Will You please help me have them shorn?
Your cross with my hands I’ll make worn.
Oh— Ooh—
Thank— You—
You know I yearn to stop Life’s race,
And live to a diff-er-ent pace
My journey, with Your hands, please trace;
Show me the path to your good Grace.
Oh— Ooh—
Thank— You—
Oh Lord, I’ll take Your crown of thorns,
When my life’s without pride or scorn.
Give me the heart to be reborn—
One between Sin and You not torn.
Oh— Ooh—
Thank— You—
Oh— Ooh—
