The Army
Verse 1: The smoke blinded you months
Repairing your soul
When what you needed most
Was to be sat down and told
New is not always better then the old
Verse 2: When all you drink are memories from the golden stream
The black flow of truth hiding down beneath the seams
Of course you can’t all win
But tip the cup in
For a while
Chorus: You can’t wash away wars
You cant pretend to hear
Silence on a battlefield
When the gunfire’s are so near
The end is coming close
Hold on to the rope
My dear
Verse 3: When the army fights the war
The hardest thing of all
Not where to put their sword
But trying not to fall
Into the reality
That the façade
Is just a smoke screen
Chorus
