Nighttime
I can't wait another day
'Til you come home
How many times do I have to say I love you before you come home
Back to me
Every day, clutching your photo
I cry myself to sleep
Your tokens of love
Choke me to my oblivious world
With only you and me.
Haunting dreams of the past
Waking up with a sad smile
Knowing all that we have
Are broken memories.
I clutch at the broken pieces that are left
Trying to put them back together
Bleeding from these cuts
Only to shatter into another thousand pieces
An unfix-able puzzle piece
With gaps all around
Knowing that these gaps won't be filled
'Til the world returns.
