Beautiful Wallflower
Verse 1:
She’s beautiful.
Broken and standing in the rain.
Desperately she calls out,
Ignored, she hides in shame.
Long sleeves, eyes down, hiding from the world.
Darling, you don’t hear a single word.
Chorus:
What a beautiful wallflower,
Standing there, invisible to the world.
What a beautiful wallflower,
Petals withered and curled.
What a beautiful wallflower,
Silent cries through the night.
What a beautiful wallflower.
Beautiful, beautiful wallflower…
Verse 2:
She’s coming undone.
At her lowest point, she finds you.
Desperation nearly tearing her in two.
Faded lines across pale arms and wrists.
More imperfections added to the growing list.
Stronger on the outside than within.
Life is always the hardest game to win.
Repeat Chorus
Verse 3:
She’s jumping.
How will catch her as she falls?
Time is running out as she tries to stall.
Misunderstanding turns to anger.
She pushes you away to try to make it easier later.
Little by little, she fades back into the wallpaper.
Repeat Chorus 2X
