I Deny
How can you sit there
With your head,
Hidden in your hands?
While you poured out the endless of seas
On to me
As if I were here to drain it.
Has my presence
Coaxed your body now?
Does my voice make you
Look out?
In to a tall, thick, yet empty crowd
Do you miss me now?
Have you thought about it yet?
How will you do now
Knowing i’m not puddy
In your hands?
You denied me all along the way here
You don’t get to choose me now.
The comfort, the care
I would’ve given you for a lifetime
Now sits in despair.
With no comfort or care
Do I look like a mirror now?
(so I’ll deny,
For the sake of you and I)
(i’ll deny, I’ll deny
For you and i)
You’re sitting there with your watering eyes
As they read out the proof,
And the replies.
You don’t anything to say to me,
But you did to the press
telling how I was a daydream
The golden hour in your stories
And now I’m the nightmare that keeps you up
The crazy in the story.
Have I made you sweat yet?
How will you overcome this?
How will you do now
Knowing i’m not puddy
In your hands?
You denied me all along the way here
You don’t get to choose me now.
The comfort, the care
I would’ve given you for a lifetime
Now sits in despair.
With no comfort or care
Do I remind you of yourself yet?
(so I’ll deny, I’ll deny
For the sake of you and I)
(i’ll deny, I’ll deny
For you and i)
And we both know it’s not fair
How we both are playing the same game
Going back and forth
Between us,
And neither of us wins
And we’ll yell and fight and scream again
You’ll say how it was my fault
And I’ll throw something
But we knew,
Neither of us was right.
So I’ll deny, I’ll deny
That there was nothing wrong
Between you and i
I’ll deny, I’ll deny
That we were both right.

This was written for a story, but I like it too much to keep it to myself.
