Everyone is sleeping through tornado sirens

I’m wide awake

I am screaming no one seems to listen

There gonna die

I’m going be yelling I told you so

It’s tornado season

Raining and lightning are the norm

Praying for a warning where I don’t have to go to school

Oh how we wish for the bad until we’re in it

Then we’re praying get me out of the storm and

I’ll be a good girl

I used to not be that scared of weather until I watched so many tornado allys now I see danger on ever corner

why’d I do that to myself?

It’s tornado season

Raining and lightning are the norm

Hiding in bathrooms

Checking out of schools

It’s all happy till you realize  im in the eye of the storm oh god!

Get me out and I’ll be a good girl I’m a Storm chaser running after danger

I know it’s going hurt but the adrenaline I love

The comfort of the chase

Something I fear I’ll never be able to give up

On the service level, this piece is about tornado season. When I was little, I had this fascination with weather. It scared me, but I also wished for tornados to occur because I was curious.

On a deeper level, this piece is about the tendency of people to self sabotage. Also, it's about religion. I am a Christian, so one thing that has been a prominent struggle in my life is promising to be good to God if he gets me out of an undesirable situation.
