Easter Anthem
Oh say can you see
By the third dawn's gray light
Him so reverently hailed
At the gates of Jerusalem?
Whose strong hands and kind eyes
Constant through every night
O'er the Hill of the Skull
Were so horribly hanging
Then the cavern laid bare
Angels sent to declare
Gave proof through the tomb
That the Christ was not there
Oh say our beloved Messiah has been raised
For the sins of the world
He has conquered the grave!

I was inspired to write this when I was singing the national anthem one day. (By the way, both the words and the music are in the public domain, so this isn't breaking any copyright rules.)
