Falecia
Ripped jeans-
We all know what it means,
A closet full of beanies
and hoodies.
She's a skater,
Tomboy, just hanging with the boys.
She's a dancer,
Putting makeup on- ready for rehearsal.
Spent years in choir,
Never wanted to retire.
But for someone like her
It's one or the other.
She grew up poor,
But say something- she'll meet you at the door.
Always pushed me to do what was right,
Even in the dead of night.
Didn't know then,
But we are one and the same.
We connected through the music.
She introduced me to my favorite bands!
Men that saved my life-
I'm talking Andy, Ronnie, Tyler & Josh,
Wouldn't have made it without them- my god...
She says she was never there for me,
If only she knew how she's inspired me!
Came out as Lesbian,
My cousin was there for me yet again!
"Always obey the Cousin Promise!",
"Wherever you go, I'm comin!"
"With each other, we must always be honest!",
"And I dare someone to say somethin!"
Always had my back,
If I needed something she did it for me and that was that.
Haven't seen her in a minute,
Can't wait to tell her I made it.
Always pushed her to stick true to herself,
Even when I called her Tauriel (the name of an elf)
My cousin is the strongest person I know,
She's who I hope to resemble when I grow.

"Came out as Lesbian,
My cousin was there for me yet again"
is a line that comes from the fact that she and I promised we would never be alone as long as we had each other and there for a while I was the only LGBT member of my family.
