Lamps
Amongst the glistening orange horizon, a light breaks through
Bleeding over the land through dark, through fog and even on you
It’s a beam, its hope and it’s a million worlds away
Its formally known as the sun to me and you and everyone I guess
But it appears that down here you have other plans
Fires, lanterns all shine in a powerful dance
In dark hours, in places I would never even glance
A flicker of light pours from their lamps

Where there is no light in the situation, make your own. The intention was to show nothing is bad enough for you to not be able to get out of it.
