A Letter to Rose
Listen my sister, hear me through
‘Cuz I would never lie to you
To your sun, you need to speak
Before we may turn our cheek
He breaks your heart, hurts your soul
Your happiness is our only goal
To watch you suffer is so hard to bear
Sometimes it’s like he doesn’t even care
I’m not angry, I’m not mad
Just a little hurt, but not too bad
I will always be here with one arm open and one arm ready
To hug you close and dry your eyes when you aren’t steady
I am always here for you forever
My time to leave you is never
And even when I’m dead and gone
I promise you, my shoulder to cry on.
