Metaphorical Garden
A red rose overshadowed by pines,
Despite the darkness, radiantly shines.
The successful are the rose;
The world is their repose.
Nothing is beyond success’s confines.
A wilting daisy in the summer’s heat
Grows relentlessly at dehydration’s feet.
The successful are the daisy.
The world seems to be hazy,
But it boldly shows no sign of retreat.
In a sprawling meadow grew a tulip.
Unlike its neighbors, it missed the snip.
The tulip is the successful;
The neighbors are the remorseful.
Fickle luck the successful outstrip.
