Lluvia
There once was a man from Spain,
Who knew how to make it rain.
He rained all around
And rained on the town
And all of the people complained.
The villagers stormed up and said,
“How can I sleep in a wet bed?”
“Our houses are soaked!”
“And just look at my cloak!”
And they all left him with his face red.
The poor man was upset and sat.
“Now why did they have to say that?”
Down there on the ground,
He thought he’d leave town.
He packed up and then did just that.
But then there was an awful drought.
Plants started to wither and pout.
The crops, they all died
And the children all cried,
For there was not one healthy sprout.
The council members wrote a letter,
Hoping it would work for the better.
“Our yelling was dumb
We wish you would come,
For our town needs to be much wetter!”
The man read the letter and smiled.
He walked towards the town for a while.
He went that-a-ways,
Took two or three days,
And then was greeted by a child.
“Oh, thank you for coming kind man!
You really have just saved out land!”
The man said “My pleasure,
To help change the weather!”
And they walked into town hand in hand.
