He starts the wind-up
He throws it down the middle
And the batter swings
The ball is hit hard
The ball hits the pitcher's head
He falls to the ground
He is unconscious
Lying on the ground, helpless
Medics rush to help
He is motionless
Blood is dripping down his head
The crowd is silent
Both teams are worried
All eyes are glued to the mound
He is getting help
He is on the cart
Being wheeled off the ball field
He waves to the crowd
The crowd applause's
Both teams pray for him, "Get well"
