Watch what you say dear
The Children are listening
Utter not a word
~
They will turn you in
Thought Police will come for you
I'll be all alone

The author's comments:
Our teacher made us do an assignment about the book 1984 by George Orell. This is just one of the poems that is done in two haikus. It is about a wife and her husband, she fears her husband will say something that the children will hear and turn their own father in leaving her all alone with them.
