The Linguist in Me: A Series of Haiku
Since the age of two
Languages have been my life
I’m a polyglot.
French and Spanish are
What I am most fluent in
Other than English.
I am not as skilled
In speaking German, but I
Am learning it still.
The same applies to
Japanese, Italian, and
Korean as well.
It began with French
Learned it from kindergarten
To the seventh grade.
Next year, I transferred
To MSA in eighth grade.
I took Spanish I.
I’d already known
How to speak Spanish quite well
Señora knows that.
Now I’m in tenth grade
Taking Spanish III, and I
Just love it so much.
Next year I hope that
In eleventh grade I can
Still take Spanish IV.
I speak French the best
It is my second language
Spanish is my third.
That’s about it for
My haiku compilation
Au revoir. Adiós.
