Do Not Get Attached
I’m pushing myself
And I feel like I’m breaking
But I keep going
A tinted window
You look out, but can’t see in
How I view the world
Having a breakdown
Hot tears, fast breaths, silent screams
Shut my eyes so tight
I am always cold
Shaking in my layered clothes
My fault or the room’s?
Beg to be alone
But I wallow when I am
So frustrated
Blue ink, fallen tears
On the pages of my poems
My biography
Reschedule it all
There is nothing for certain
Do not get attached
Emotions welling
I can’t get them out, I scream
To try to get free
Trying new tactics
Trying to change who I am
Trying to escape
I was there for you
You knew, and took advantage
It’s a two-way road
