Ten Haikus, Vol. 1
I.
Point your full gun, sir
It will go faster for me
Than it will for you
II.
Basic, basic sky
Draw back your curtains today
Your audience weeps
III.
Terrible dream life
Greatly exceeds that of a
Terrible life life
IV.
I am so sorry
You told me what you told me
I cannot love you
V.
I sit in my boat
The water sits left and right
In front and behind
VI.
Curious vision:
A fear of loathing, and my
Father fades away
VII.
Oh, ferocious me
I swam this ocean so far
The sea within me
VIII.
“I’d love to,” she said
But perhaps I made that up
“How about next time?”
IX.
I killed her spirit
Parentheses more than once
Close parentheses
X.
“Did they feel this way
in the dark ages?” I asked
“I highly doubt it.”
