Once there was a snake.
He had a belly ache.
He scavenged through the forest.
The snake, he was the sorest.

Then, he found a hare,
Who was never aware.
The hare was fixing his house,
Giving his flowers a douse.

The snake said to him,
“Today is very grim.
I am extremely hungry
and very, very slumbery.”

The hare went inside,
And gave him cyanide.
For the snake was not to know,
That the hare was in sorrow

The snake was to die,
So the hare did not lie.
The hare said with a sly grin,
That he had a little twin.

He said long ago,
The night in the cold snow,
The snake had quickly eaten,
His brother without reason.

Hissing one last word,
He said, “This is absurd.”
Then he tried to understand,
But he died with all the damned.

Moral: Punishment always comes to one who commits a crime.
