Expectations
Expectations can be dangerous things.
The stress, the chaos, the exhaustion
look at what has resulted
from aiming so high.
We need to face the truth
and stop putting this pressure on ourselves.
Everyone is different,
everyone is special,
not everyone can achieve the same things!
Someone will always find a way
to outdo the accomplishments of the past,
so why is there so much pressure to meet these expectations?
Who has even met them?
You just can’t do it all.
Never enough.
Always compared.
We need to stop thinking this way.
We do the best we can and that is most important.
Life is not a competition.
Life is not a game.
There will never be a winner.
Accomplish what you can!
