H O P E
Many things cause a person to go bizarre
But nobody seems to notice their scars
They only notice once they’re behind bars
We lost our humanity, do you know who you are?
So many protests, but no one seems to care
They see how people get treated, and know its not fair
This shouldn’t be happening, it should be rare
It’s too gory and depressing, it’s too much to bare
Keep in mind, were just kids
I’ve cried so much, it hurts my ribs
What is your purpose? What gives?
I know that people are cruel, don’t let them in
Grab my hand, and sink in,
All the happiness this world gives
There’s much to live for, much to win
Love yourself, even with your sins
This is your life, Earth is where it all begins
Don’t throw it away, don’t give in
Life is precious, life is mean
But you’re not alone, I am here to clean
Don’t be afraid to cry, but don’t demean
We are here to help, don’t be afraid to preen
It’s going to be okay, so let it be
We all love you for who you are, don’t forget who you’re meant to be
