Death of a Loved One
The crying has begun
And may never end again
The hugging will continue
And may never cease to end
The looks of pity will begin
Special treats just for you
Everyone is sorry that this
Is what you’re going through
Death is in the air
In our bodies and our souls
Slowly killing us bit by bit
By drilling spaces and drilling holes
It breaks our hearts, tears them apart
It kills us slowly, putting us in agony
It makes us burn and ache and scream
It will be the end of all, it seems
End of me
End of you
End of the line, the road, the cliff
Killing us slowly
Bit…by…bit
