Just sitting Here
Today I’m sitting here
Like always, listening
As you talk, I hear
Every word I may
Not answer or react
But I hear you.
I don’t answer all the
Time but it’s because
I’m lost in your voice,
Your voice is hypnotizing
And it pulls me in; in my head
I'm saying “I want to be with you,
I want to be yours.”
But in all reality
I know that it won’t
Ever happen, “Why?”, you ask
Well you’re out of my
League, “No your not!”
You say but I know you can
Do better than whatever
I am.
Today I’m sitting here
Like always, listening
As you talk, I hear
Every word I may
Not answer or react
But this time it’s
Because I’m lost in
The taste of you.
