Cold Hands
Cold, clammy hands
Grasp those who mean most
Ripped away from us
Our sorrows accompany their absence
To take too long to appreciate
Those who surround us
Is often a consequence
Shown by the cold-handed creature
The hands arrive on shoulders
During unexpected times
When we are at our happiest
Changes to feeling oh so low
This creature is unforgiving
It knows not of age or circumstance
The creature merely carries on
With deadly deeds apart of our lives
