Playing With Fire
It's a cycle, recurring, repeating, but new, nonetheless, every time you
Disappear, they
Are different people every month, every year, but
We are never the same
We cannot explain it to the children
We cannot explain it to ourselves
It's a mystery
And He is called the God of Mystery because
Apparently
He holds all knowledge and controls our visions
He
Plays with our emotions and pulls on our strings, maybe
Because He is so big and we are so tiny, He
Thinks we are plastic Barbies and G.I.Joes, and it's
Okay to hurt us because He'll always get away with murder
We teach our children to hate the devil
Sure, the devil is a liar, but he's never killed anyone because
God is the only one with that power, right?
There, I'm faced with the question, why, why
Do we despise a liar and worship a murderer
I was taught to respect God, just like
I was taught to respect the man who used to be my father, I
Ask myself how I can respect anyone who doesn't show themselves worthy of it, I'm
Playing with fire right now, but
Questions are meant to be asked and
Thoughts are meant to be explored, I
Imagine God wearing a swastika on His chest, and I
Imagine He's planning my funeral as I write this
