The Moon-Falls
The moon that dripped
Into the falls
Gleamed so bright
As the night chills called
I stood so close
And watched the stars
The wonderful moon
Was now just ours
I pulled you close
And held your hand
As the moon so tame
Washed over the land
The winds they whistled
And the moon waves hummed
As I sat by the trees
I knew you once loved
Since now you have passed
I will do your wish
I will spread your ashes
And you'll feel the moons kiss
My hearts filled with sorrow
but your memories are kind
So I stand by this scene
Where the Moon-Falls always shine.

I was inspired by a picture of a moon dripping down into a waterfall, so I wrote about a moon waterfall, leading me to name this poem Moon-Falls instead of waterfalls.
