The grey sky
Sings an epic tale of
Wildfires ablaze
Ash falls down like rain
Crying out a cause
In need of aid:
people whose homes are
set in flames
Engulfed by
the Inferno
Danger chants:
Young lungs need a break!
The smoky air
reminds some of
China’s murky sky

I was inspired by the North Bay fires in California. The smoke was thick near my home and though it was scary I thought of how much worse it was for people in North Bay.
