Murky Waters
Written from the POV of a girl suffering from Hurricane Harvey.
Floating, floating, floating,
When will someone come save me?
I'm to broken down to cry for help, both from pain and from memories,
The high winds have long passed, along with the cries of the dead,
but the damage is nowhere near complete,
We didn't even have time to escape,
and now I'm here all alone.
Everything I loved is lost, from my cat to my house,
I'm lost here without them, I don't even know how to recover,
My tears mix with the murky water
that my family drowned in, and I can't help but think,
when can I join them?

I feel like Hurricane Harvey has affected many people and if we all show our support we can help them feel better about their situation.
