I'll take that scarf you gave me
and tie it in a noose
going back on my word
choking on our truce
I love that bottle of perfume
I'll inject it in my blood
Dump it on the ground
and make some scented mud
a bracelet on my wrist
every bead a pill
some will make me better
some will make me ill
and I'll take out of my closet
a double ended blade
we'll fall on it together
in search of better days
