Your Choice, Our Destruction
Your eyes betray you
your choice so clear and sharp,
your words fumble and fall
on my deaf ears.
My heart has been sliced
my own foolish mind at fault
My walls are being built
around what was once yours
Your words try to drown me
your eyes burn holes in my walls
your choice has destroyed us
but still you do not see the divide.
My feet carry me away
my mind numbs, protecting me
my walls begin to harden
your eyes bore holes in my back
Your choice broke me
my choice breaks you
our destruction saves us
from many years of regret.
