My Daily Struggle
I sit in silence
While everyone else mummers to the other
The teacher sits watching everyone patiently
I look around and see that my best, and only, friend
She is socializing with her other friends
They have more in common than she and I
We are almost the same person
But most different from one another
As she socializes I sit in remembrance
I think of all the best times we've had as friends
Soon enough I feel this wave of depression darken my face
She's my only friend that I can talk to face-to-face
We understand each other
Except for now
No matter our relationship quarrels I'll always feel left out
