Safe in your skin
1 / 1
Sink in and out of me, the water barricades but does not bite. Flow through me, splash your anger and whisk your hunger into the waves. Like this, we mesh, grow closer, breaking boundaries, breaking misconceptions. In the evening we glow, brightness burning as orange streaks. In the grass we crawl, snaking forward but moving back without knowledge of it. My ribs hold you now, blood replacing its texture with the feeling of you. Come forth, stitch your palms into my back and never let the feeling linger. I must keep this feeling from opposing me, from obliterating my dual existence inside and out of the day. Piece by piece you haunt me, seizing to show color, transient with angst, fueling yourself. Even when I have lost my grace you will not let me forget it. You hold me there, floating.
Life is art.
