Crinkling in my fingers.
Fraying edges tickle tips of
Hands, familiar against my skin
As I stroke the pages thin.
Ink-stained palaces, treasure trove of
Rebellious, crooked words
Slandering, soothsaying, dancing
Off my mind’s tongue into rows
On perfect,
Print-lines
Flows.
Smeared words, scribbled, broken,
Pan to oceans, barefoot dances,
Sinful kings, and soft Romance of
Mountains, fog-cloaked in
Wrinkled paper
Windows.
