Smiling For Show
That smile
I used to think it real,
but reality is so much more
s t r e t c h e d
AndFakeAndForced
a strange mix
it twists your beauty
into a fake replica
of something too precious,
like using
board-game money
at a gas station.
So much pressure
to create
that diamond of a smile,
glittering
yet
strong,
How many times
I was the cause
of that smile,
is nothing compared
to the reasons
I am the cause
of its demise.
