home.
tonight,
the sky feels a little warmer.
the earth, a bit more welcoming; roomy.
as if my being here is more than just an accident.
and the stars are aligned to say that this could be my home.
this moment.
these people.
this town that has too often made me feel like an outsider in my own body.
the crickets chirp,
and they seem to say that from this moment on,
every breath is a Hallelujah.
today, i found my place.
in this foreign and strange land,
this uncharted territory,
i have already struck gold.
i want to love these moments, this life,
before it all disappears.
i am settling in,
and i think this may be
home.
