Night
Sounds, unseen, come from all around.
Left, right, up, down.
The cool air grips onto the skin,
In the darkness, you can feel the sin.
The secrets, the wishes and the dreams,
You can feel everything exactly as it seems .
Because in the night,
When you're all alone,
There is no fight.
No sticks and stones,
No breaking bones.
It's only you, your thoughts,
Nothing that you’ve ever bought,
Matters now.
Nobody is asking how,
Who,what, where, when,
Everything is the way it's been.
The same as every time you close your eyes,
And hate and greed go floating by.
Because at night when all is still,
Your head is only yours to fill.
