Happy Endings

I am a mistake
Unloved,
Unwanted,
Alone.
A broken mess

Torn apart and put back together
Only to be torn apart again.

My mind is a war
A battle against myself.
Where words are bullets
And movements are knives
Just a flicker of hope appears

Only to be drowned in this sea

This sea of emotion.

Only one question remains,

“Should I take the pill?”

I am a mistake
Ugly,
Dumb,
Poor.
A disgrace

Once considered smart,
Now struggle to find a job.
I have never looked good,
And now worse than ever.

There is a far-reaching gap
That separates me from the rest of society
Only which I could cross
With the wings of miracle.

I used to ask a good plenty of questions in school,
Now I have grown quiet through my years of solitude.

Now my long awaited answer is here,

“Yes”

You may have been read stories
Stories of knights and damsels in distress.

They may have taught you
That everyone lives a happy
       ending

But those lies are old
For in life,

Some stories just don’t have happy endings

“No one is born hating another person because of the color of his skin, or his background, or his religion. People must learn to hate, and if they can learn to hate, they can be taught to love, for love comes more naturally to the human heart than I

This poem has very beautiful figurative language that appeal to the emotion. (Remember, sometimes its not about the ending, its about the story.Always have hope, whether or not this poem is from your personal experience.)
