Hearts in Hand
The battles may have ended,
But the sorrow still lives on.
There’s broken hearts that won’t be mended,
But they’ll start through prayer and song.
The soldiers lay upon their shields
Beside them is their brother.
The red that stains the golden fields,
Are the tears of the crying mother.
The seeds that once sowed their land
And blossomed through their shell,
Are now burning in the hands
Of the brave that fought so well.
Through smoke and lead,
The flag still stands.
We thank the dead
Who saved our land.
